Scott has overcome many
obstacles and challenges his my life. Everyone who knows
Scott is quite amazed with his ambition and drive to accomplish
things that were considered to be impossible for him. He
now plans on expanding Been There, Inc. to help people who
are like him and to continue developing new concepts and
theories regarding individuals with disabilities.
He has never given into negative stereotypes
which dictate what can or cannot be accomplished in life.
He hopes that he can play a critical role in helping the
state of Florida in providing better services for individuals
with developmental disabilities.
Scott has accomplished everything that
he set out to do, even with a severe physical disability.
He has earned his master’s degree and did graduate
in good standing. He continues to build his agency which
continues to help him lead a extremely full and productive
life.
In the hopes that it may bring hope and
encouragment to others, Scott invites you to read

Scott's Mission Statement:
My mission is to help improve the quality
of life for my consumers through support services.

and dedicated individuals to work for my agency.

they can do more than what they have been told by other
so-called "professionals".

My mission is to keep informed about new laws and regulations
regarding the Home and Community Based Services program.
My mission is to promote healthy social cultural attitudes
regarding individuals with developmental disabilities.
My mission is to promote a person-centered approach regarding
individuals with developmental disabilities.
My mission is to promote healthy self-concept and self-esteem
regarding individuals with developmental disabilities.
My mission is to promote social and political change regarding
individuals with developmental disabilities.
My mission is to promote the legal and civil rights for
my consumers and their families.
My mission is to uphold to the highest legal and ethical
standards to my consumers and their families.
My mission is to educate parents of children with developmental
disabilities that their son’s or daughter’s
can fit into our society.
